Virtual Cadillac CTS-V, Cadillac Cup Splash Onto Sim Racing Scene with iRacing.com

DETROIT – With the release of the Cadillac CTS-V virtual race car from Cadillac and iRacing.com, race fans the world over can now feel the thunder of Cadillac’s powerful coupe and race it for prizes all year long.

The digital version of Team Cadillac’s potent hot-rod, driven in real life by superstar drivers Johnny O’Connell and Andy Pilgrim, features the same heart-pounding acceleration and hard-core performance characteristics of the real thing…and you don’t need an SCCA Competition license to race it.

O’Connell and Pilgrim are currently first and second, respectively, in the driver’s point standings for the Pirelli World Challenge GT Series, and Cadillac is atop the Manufacturer’s points as well.

Cadillac joins iRacing’s base package of cars and tracks, making the CTS-V an integral component of all 30,000+ iRacers’ online racing experience.  The virtual Cadillac CTS-V will be featured in the Cadillac Cup, a series of online races at precision-modeled versions of many of the tracks on the 2012 Pirelli World Challenge GT Series schedule including Infineon Raceway, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Mosport International Raceway.

“With Johnny O’Connell’s victory in the opening round of the Pirelli World Challenge GT Series in St Petersburg and Andy Pilgrim’s win in Long Beach, the Cadillac CTS-V has already proven to be very a competitive proposition on the real race tracks of North America,” says Cadillac V-Series and Racing Marketing Manager John Kraemer.  “Thanks to our partnership with iRacing.com, Cadillac is delighted to enable sim-racers around the world to enjoy the same incredible performance that Johnny and Andy experience every time they buckle in to their CTS-Vs on the race track.”

“We’re excited to be able to make one of the world’s most advanced racing sedans available to our members,” says iRacing.com President Tony Gardner. “We’re proud to partner with Cadillac, not only in creating the virtual CTS-V but through the Cadillac Cup.  iRacing and Cadillac have some exciting programs in the making, and we’re all looking forward to making the most of our dynamic partnership for Cadillac, iRacing and iRacers.”

Cadillac Offers 3 Great Engines in the New ATS: www.PineBeltCadillac.com

Three engines to choose from, and you really can’t go wrong no matter which one you choose. We’re talking about the new 2013 Cadillac ATS, which will be offered with three unique motors – all with their own advantages.

The crew here at Pine Belt Cadillac, your Cadillac dealer in Toms River NJ, is intrigued by every bit of news that comes in concerning the ATS. As we check out the full specs on the engine options, we just find ourselves itching to try it out for ourselves.

Cadillac’s powerful and luxurious ride will come equipped with either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine. The four-cylinder options really have our attention as much effort was put forth to increase their efficiency numbers. To do that, engineers at Cadillac reduced engine friction by 16%, using technologies like a variable-displacement oil pump and an actively controlled thermostat.

The 2.5-liter engine gets an estimated 202 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque – both very impressive numbers. The turbocharged 2.0-liter is also one impressive engine, as it puts out 270 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The six-cylinder edition, the 3.6-liter, is an award-winning engine from Cadillac that offers 320 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque.

All three engines for the new ATS are dual overhead cams and have direct injections with continuously variable valve timing. All also have six-speed automatic transmissions that they are mated to, except the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which is available in a manual. This option is one that is not offered in many luxury models, meaning driving enthusiasts will have a unique opportunity to shift the new sporty Cadillac – a big perk for many.

Pine Belt Cadillac showing off latest technology – CUE

You know Cadillac has hit the big-time in its technology when it is put on display at the Consumer Electronics Show. That’s the case this month, as Cadillac will be showing off its latest innovation with the CUE technology taking center stage at the show in Las Vegas Jan. 10-13.

Those in attendance at the show will learn about the Cadillac CUE system, which is a “comprehensive in-vehicle experience that merges intuitive design with auto industry-first controls and commands for information and entertainment data.” In addition to the technology itself, Cadillac will also be discussing the methods of research the company used when creating the CUE (Cadillac User Experience).

While we at Pine Belt Cadillac, your Cadillac dealer in Toms River New Jersey, won’t be in attendance at the Consumer Electronics Show, we are interested to find out as much information as we can about the Cadillac CUE system. The CUE will be in place on new 2012 models, like the Cadillac XTS and ATS, as well as the SRX luxury crossover.

It’s difficult to explain all the features that the CUE system offers, but we think that Don Butler, Vice President of Cadillac Marketing, summed it up pretty good for people such as those in attendance at the Consumer Electronics Show. He also stressed that even if you’re not up on everything that is technology, you can have a great experience using the CUE.

“For the tech-savvy, it’s everything you want it to be – a full suite of infotainment, navigation and communication tools that keeps you full connected,” Butler said. “For the tech-averse, its power is remarkably simple, intuitive and accessible.”

At Pine Belt Cadillac, we’re pumped to try out the CUE system for ourselves on some of our new Cadillac cars in Oakhurst NJ. And we’re also ready to pass that experience on to you.

Cadillac may build two-seat roadster off ATS

It’s been a while since Cadillac had a roadster in its product portfolio. Since the XLR went out of production at the end of 2009, to be precise. But while the CTS Coupe (and its high-performance counterpart, the CTS-V Coupe) may fill the niche for a svelte wreath-badged two-door, Cadillac may be planning on something a little more windy – and more affordable – in the near future.

According to our compatriots over at Inside Line, Cadillac is considering spinning a two-seat roadster off the rear-wheel-drive platform of the new ATS sedan. If given the green light, the ATS roadster would likely be positioned squarely at the likes of the Mercedes-Benz SLK and BMW Z4, maximizing the use of the ATS platform while giving The General a potentially intriguing rival to its German competitors.

A Great 5 Star Google Review for Pine Belt Cadillac

Pine Belt Cadillac, located off exit 82 of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River, has been servicing ocean county for years now. Here’s what another happy customer had to say about us!!

Leased my 2011 CTS from this dealership. Drove down here from Central Jersey because I heard the service was exceptional and sure enough it was. Was treated with kindness, respect and patience. They gave me a good price for my Audi trade-in and helped me take the CTS home that night. Set up the onstar for me, and even called up to check on how I was doing with the car. Very professional dealership and highly recommended.
